How our service can help you
The Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Ward for men aged 18-65,
requiring intensive psychiatric care. We also provide short-stay
intensive assessment and treatment for people with acute mental illness
who have been referred from other inpatient services. Acute illnesses
start quickly and have distressing symptoms. This service is for people
who live in the London Borough of Lewisham. We offer psychiatric
assessment, care and treatment in hospital, which helps reduce the risk
to self and others.
We work closely with the nursing and psychology teams at the hospital.
