LEO Unit (Early Intervention)

How our service can help you

The Early Intervention Unit is part of the Early Onset Service, which includes the crisis assessment and community teams.

We provide inpatient assessment, treatment and care for people, aged 16-35, who are experiencing psychosis for the first time. Psychotic disorders involve distorted perceptions of reality Ð thinking, feeling, hearing, seeing Ð often with symptoms of hallucinations and delusions. We care for people who live in the London Boroughs of Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.

We treat people who need 24-hour hospital care. We help to reduce the risk of harm to self and others.

We work with other early onset services to provide the best help and advice in crises, recovery, or hospital. Our service ensures that when a person leaves hospital, they receive the support they need and their health is maintained.
