Southwark Community Forensic Mental Health Team: Forensic Services
Southwark Community Forensic Team based at Landor House, Lambeth Hospital who care for people who have a permanent address in the London Borough of Southwark and provide community-based assessment, treatment and care for people, aged 18-65.
A Forensic community team provide care for people with offending histories who, with appropriate care and treatment, pose a low risk to the public. They may also be subject to Home Office restrictions, Probation Orders or have judicial proceedings outstanding.
The team is made up of psychiatrists, community psychiatric nurses, social workers Psychologists and occupational therapists.
Who work closely with the police, the public protection unit and the local Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangement (MAPPA) team to support people in the community

Southwark Parental Mental Health Team
The Southwark Parental Mental Health Team is part of Southwark Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). We work with families who have children under five years old where there is some form of mental distress being experienced by one or both parents.
We work in partnership with adult mental health services, CAMHS, social care, Children's Centres, and other health and social care providers.
How we can help
We work with families to help parents access mental health services, if needed, and also services within Children's Centres.
We help parents where there are issues at home relating to bonding and attachment, mental health and the impact upon the family, relationships, and social isolation.
If required, we can also help with practical concerns such as vocational training, housing, immigration and finance, and signposting to other services.
Help and advice for professionals
We provide advice and consultation to Children's Centre Staff if there are concerns regarding a parent's mental health. Out team also offer training to Children's Centre staff on the subject of mental health awareness.

Southwark Team for Early Psychosis (STEP)
The Early Intervention Team supports people, aged 18-65, when they first begin to develop the symptoms of mental illness and before they reach 'crisis point'. We provide assistance to people who live in the London Borough of Southwark.
Our team includes health and social care professionals. We work with people to help manage their mental illness, encourage independent living and maintain their health. We aim to offer recovery for the long term.We aim to see most people in their own homes, in the community, or at their local community mental health team (CMHT) base.We provide between two and three year treatment programmes, co-ordinated by a designated support worker.Address: STEP Team

Spring Ward: Forensic Services
Spring Ward is a forensic service in River House Medium Secure Unit at Bethlem Royal Hospital. We provide assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and care for women, aged over 18, who have a range of mental health problems.
We provide care for people who live in the London Boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth and Croydon.
A Medium Secure Service provides inpatient care and treatment in a secure unit for people with offending behaviour.
Treatment includes medication and psychological therapy. We provide therapeutic groups, including sport, arts, education, music and cooking.
The average length of stay at the unit is 12 to 18 months.

St Thomas MHLT Liaison Team
We are a team of mental health professionals based at St Thomas' Hospital Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department. We assess people to determine if they need mental health care and treatment, and refer them to clinical services. We provide care for patients of St Thomas' Hospital.
As well as assessing and treating people who self-harm, we provide a 24 hour service to manage all psychiatric emergencies in A&E and inpatient wards. We also assess and treat those medical and surgical patients who have mental illnesses.
We work closely with community-based mental health and substance misuse services, the police, and local statutory and voluntary agencies to provide mental health care and treatment. This includes crisis care and brief therapy.
As well as working with our patients, we offer psychological care for families of people with mental illness.Address: St Thomas' Hospital

Staying Well Service (Southwark)
The Staying Well Service offers time limited support for Southwark adult service users making the transition from community mental health services to GP based care in Southwark. Ideally, service users will have achieved a six month period of stability in clinical symptoms during his/her recovery pathway and are motivated to increase self management stills and independence by working collaboratively with a Staying Well Practitioner to develop a Staying Well, Recovery and Crisis Plan.
The Staying Well Practitioners use mental health recovery principles to guide the mental health care and support offered to service users. The service aims to actively involve family members, carers, friends, supportive organisations and primary care staff in the development of the Staying Well, Recovery and Crisis Plan which is a self management tool to assist service users to maintain his/her wellbeing after leaving secondary mental health services and provide guidance in the event of mental ill-health, distress or crisis in the future. Referrals to the service are made via the service users CPA care coordinator or community mental health team.Address: Chaucer Resource Centre

Supported Living Service (Southwark)
The Supported Living Team provides a community mental health service to people who live in a variety of low and medium supported housing projects in Southwark.
Our aim is to promote the recovery of residents, helping them stabilise their health and maximise their use of the support available so that they can move towards independent living.
To do this we provide psychological, social, vocational and medical interventions to residents to support their recovery. We also support housing providers to maximise the quality of care and rehabilitation provided to their residents. We provide a flexible outreach service to the housing projects adapting to the needs of the staff and their residents. This includes regular drop in sessions, link working, and attending residents or staff meetings as required.
We work as a team of health and social care staff including nurses, social workers, doctors, psychologists, vocational and welfare rights advisers.Address: 88 Camberwell Road
