Self Harm Service (SHOPS)
The Self-Harm Outpatient Service (SHOPs) is a specialist and national self-harm service. We provide two years of intensive longer-term psychotherapy for adults experiencing complex and enduring problems relating to self-harm or other forms of self-destructiveness. These behaviours are understood and worked with in the context of difficulties in relationships, early adversity and experiences that may include trauma. We work with people to help them understand how turning to self-destructiveness can serve as a way of coping with underlying problems. We provide a setting that can help people bear intense and disturbing experiences.
We are involved in outcome research in psychotherapy and our clinical work is undertaken by senior and experienced psychotherapists, and supervised mental health practitioners.
Individuals appropriate to this service often make frequent use of emergency services or multiple care agencies. Many have been diagnosed as having a personality disorder, and may also have suffered from eating disorders, depression, complex trauma or alcohol and substance misuse. For many, their emotional problems and difficulties in forming mutually satisfying relationships can be linked to adverse experiences in early life and contribute to longer term complex problems.Address: Outpatients Department

Service for Complex Autism and Associated Neurodevelopmental Disorders (SCAAND)
SCAAND is a Tier 4 NHS England funded specialist service for children and young people with autism and complex mental health difficulties. SCAAND is a multi-disciplinary service providing assessment and intervention/management of complex neurodevelopmental presentations. The SCAAND service draws on expertise from a number of health disciplines and education.

Single Point of Access (SPA)
The Lambeth Single Point of Access (SPA) helps adults aged 18 to 65 years to get the right mental health support first time. People can contact them direct if they are worried about their mental health and need more support than their GP can provide.
They have a team of mental health professionals, support workers and social workers who can help people access:- One of three Living Well Centres. These offer short and longer term support from teams of clinicians, social workers people with lived experience and support workers.
- If appropriate, a team that can visit you if you require mental
health support within 24 hours.

Snowsfields Adolescent Unit (Maudsley Hospital)
Snowsfields Adolescent Unit is an open adolescent unit, offering mental health care for adolescents with serious mental illness who require hospital admission. We have developed a national and international reputation for innovation and pioneered the introduction of a comprehensive, all-hours emergency admission service.
The majority of the young people we treat are emergency admissions, however planned admissions can also be arranged. Admissions are accepted 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, and can be accepted under the Mental Health Act.
Around half of the young people admitted to our unit have psychosis. Others have problems relating to their mood, often posing a risk to themselves. We are also able to admit young people with a variety of other psychiatric or neurodevelopmental disorders, or where there is uncertainty about diagnosis.
As we are an open unit, we are unable to admit young people who pose a level of risk that is not consistent with being cared for in such an environment. This judgement is always based on individual risk assessment rather than applying absolute exclusion criteria, and is reviewed regularly. People requiring care in a more secure setting can be admitted to the unit if the risk has altered.
We provide a broad range of interventions, which are delivered by a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, teachers, occupational therapists, social workers and other therapists.
We maintain close links with the person's referring team to ensure they experience a smooth transition back to the community. Day treatment is often used as a step-down service and can sometimes be used to avoid admission altogether.Mapother House...

Social Inclusion and Recovery Service
Social Inclusion and Recovery Service (SIRS) provides person-centred support with the aim of enabling people to explore their goals and ambitions, to become more independent, to stay well, and to feel part of their community.
SIRS can support people to make choices about accessing the support they need now and in the future.
SIRS offers a 12 week service working with people to assess their needs and develop individually-tailored Support plans. This may include:
¥ Support to manage day to day living
¥ Advice and support to access/retain employment, voluntary work, training and education
¥ Assessment of independent living skills
¥ Establishment of routines and social network
¥ Development of leisure and creative interests
¥ Signposting to a range of community resources
¥ Support on being discharged from hospital
¥ Help to develop a healthy lifestyle to improve/maintain mental health and wellbeing
¥ Advice regarding eligibility to access a 'Personal Budget'
¥ Maximisation of Welfare Benefits for those receiving a service from SIRS

South Living Well Centre
The centres contain teams made up of psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, social workers, voluntary and community workers. These people are experienced in dealing with a wide range of mental health conditions. Some of them will have experienced such conditions themselves.
Living Well Centres will offer:- Short-term support for those with low to moderate needs from our combined team of clinicians, social workers and support workers
- Moderate to high support from our joined-up, focused support team
for those with greater need.

South London Community Forensic CAMHS
FCAMHS is a Specialist Forensic Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for young people and their families working with professionals in South London. We provide advice, consultation, assessment and some limited short-term interventions. The service can also provide training for local professionals.
We are a multi-disciplinary service including Consultant Adolescent Forensic Psychiatrists and Psychologists.

- Local Authorities (Children's Social Care)
- Youth Offending Teams
- CAMHS Inpatient Facilities
- Youth Justice services
- Education
If the referrer is not from a local CAMHS team and the referral is accepted for further input after an initial discussion, we usually discuss the referral with the young person's local CAMHS team. This will facilitate a clear joint approach to the referral from relevant mental health providers and, wherever possible, joint assessment and working would be undertaken.

Southwark CAMHS Adolescent Service
The Southwark Adolescent Service is part of Southwark Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). We offer a service to young people between the ages of 12 to 18 years old, who have significant emotional or mental health difficulties. Our service is available to young people that live in the London Borough of Southwark.
Treatment with us ranges from short to long term, and may involve face to face sessions, and indirect work with the parent, carer or professional from another agency.
We also provide guidance and consultation to professionals to discuss prospective referrals and other mental health matters.
We accept referrals from GPs, health professionals, social workers, school staff, the voluntary sector, and self-referrals from families. Young people that are referred to us must be registered with a Southwark GP.

Southwark CAMHS Child Wellbeing Practitioner Team
The Southwark Children and Young People Wellbeing Practitioners (CWP) Team provides a mental health service to young people who may not meet the threshold for Croydon Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
The team provides short-term, low intensity, evidence-based, guided self-help interventions for children, young people and their parents or carers. We see children and young people that are experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, or mild behavioural difficulties.
Young people and their parents or carers will be offered up to eight sessions of guided self-help which will involve of a mixture of face to face and phone, or Skype appointments. Southwark CAMHS Family Early Help Service
The Southwark CAMHS Family Early Help Serviceis part of Southwark Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). We offer short-term help for children and young people, age of 18 years old, who live in the London borough of Southwark.
We offer advice, consultation, assessment and treatment for children and young people with mental health difficulties and disorders. We can offer up to 12 therapy sessions, and work with children and families to set goals and will regularly review their progress.
Our team provides a safe, effective, responsive service where staff involve and treat children, young people and their families with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.

Southwark CAMHS Liaison Service
The Southwark CAMHS Liaison Service works with children and young people, up to the age of 18, who present at Kings College Hospital in crisis. We also offer follow up appointments in the communityafter discharge from hospital.
Our team is primarily based within the Accident and Emergency (A&E) department at Kings College Hospital. When children and young people come to see us we will assess them in A&E.
If it is appropriate for the young person to be discharged from the hospital, we will arrange for them to be followed up in the community. We can provide up to four additional appointments. If longer term treatment is needed, we will refer them to another CAMHS team.
Our team also manages duty calls for urgent referrals. We can offer help for someone that is already being seen by a CAMHS service, depending on their needs. Southwark CAMHS Outreach Team
Southwark CAMHS Outreach Teamis part of Southwark Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). We are a specialist team for adolescents in Southwark between the ages of 13 to 18 years. Our aim is to reduce the number of times young people in crisis visit A&E, and to provide help before they experience a crisis that might lead to an A&E visit, or hospital admission.
We work with young people that have severe, persistent and complex needs that affect their daily life.We aim to intervene and support young people and their families before they reach a crisis point.
Our team works in partnership with a young person's CAMHS team to provide timely interventions. We can help to engage with young people that may previously have been hard to reach by providing intensive support in the community.
Stepped care
Our team uses a stepped care model. Stepped care means that the level of help provided depends on how severe a young person's issues are.
If a young person's symptoms get worse, we will offer them additional help; this is called Ôstepping up'. As things improve we will see whether it's appropriate to Ôstep down'. This means that we will offer lower intensity treatment such as workshops, groups, and guided self-help.Address: Mapother House

Southwark Child and Adolescent Carelink Service
This service is part of Southwark Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). We offer help to children and young people, up to the age of 18, who are in the care of Southwark local authority.
We provide a service for children and young people under the care of Southwark local authority. If a young person is placed outside of the borough by Southwark we can also provide assessment and treatment of their mental health and emotional wellbeing needs.
Our team works closely with Southwark Children's Social Care. Referrals can be made to our team from the child or young person's social worker. We will also accept referrals from other health and social care professionals.
We are unable to see children who are not expected to remain looked after long term, or those who are in care under a Special Guardianship Order (SGO). Children and young people in short term care, or on an SGO may be referred to another community CAMHS team.Address: First Floor

Southwark Child and Adolescent Neurodevelopmental Service
The Southwark Child and Adolescent Neurodevelopmental Serviceis part of Southwark child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). We provide assessment and treatment for children and young people, up to the age of 18, who have a severe developmental disability and complex mental health problems.
We provide care for children and young people whose complex needs cannot be met in mainstream CAMHS. The issues we most frequently provide help with include autistic spectrum disorders (ASD), attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and mood disorders.
We provide a range of treatments and care, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), parenting support, and group work for parents, children and siblings.
CBT is a talking treatment that can help people overcome upsetting and unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving. It helps people to be clearer about these patterns and helps to work out a way of changing them.

Southwark Child and Family Service
Southwark Child and Family Service offers specialist assessment and treatment to children and young people, up to 12 years old, who have complex mental health problems. Our service also includes the Hope Project; a mini-team for children and young people, up to 18 years old, who have been affected by trauma.
We accept referrals from GPs, health professionals, social workers, school staff, the voluntary sector, and self-referrals from families. The children and young people that are referred to us must be registered with a Southwark GP.
We work with children, young people and their families to help them gain a better understanding of their issues, and the type of intervention that may help before agreeing a care plan.
At times we may need to work with other agencies if the difficulties faced by a family are quite complex. We will usually work with the referrer, and other agencies to work out how CAMHS can help.
