Activities and Events for Carers Week 2024
Carers Week – 10th -16th June is a week dedicated to celebrating the UK's unsung heroes – unpaid carers. With over six million individuals providing invaluable care to their loved ones, it's time to recognise their tireless efforts and the impact they make on our communities.
This year's theme, "Putting Carers on the Map," resonates deeply with the challenges and triumphs faced by carers across the country. Their dedication, often unseen, deserves our utmost appreciation and support.
As part of Carers Week, we will host a launch event for a Poetry booklet on Friday 14th June at Ortus. This compilation of poetry, crafted during a family and carer listening event, offers a glimpse into the joys and struggles of the caring role.
In addition to our own event, several partner organisations are offering a variety of activities to support carers throughout the week. From coffee mornings to stress management sessions, massage, and singing sessions, there's something for everyone.
For those in Croydon, reach out to enquiries@carersinfor.org.uk.
