For nearly 70 years we have provided internationally recognised, high quality, psychiatric training. We have a track record of Maudsley trained alumni successfully securing senior clinical and academic posts both nationally and internationally.
The Nurse Education team oversees the delivery of all education and training to the current and future nursing workforce in the Trust. We are committed to providing the best experience for all of our learners – from our healthcare assistant workforce, to our pre and post registration nurses and nursing associates.
The Estia Centre is a specialist training, research and development resource for people who support adults with a learning disability, autism and additional mental health needs. We support the development of a competent local learning disabilities workforce, from support staff to experienced managers from a variety of services.
Formerly known as Reay House Library, our library serves staff and students on placement, supporting clinical practice, education, research and management decision-making.
Maudsley Learning is the education and training arm of the Trust. Our mission is to produce the highest quality mental health and wellbeing education and training products. Their courses are delivered by renowned mental health experts at the Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King’s College London.
We design and deliver courses to meet the continuing professional development needs of individual professionals in the healthcare workforce, and also for colleagues in social services, policing, schools and in the private sector.
We also design and deliver programmes for organisations to meet their wider multi-professional needs, focusing on safety and quality. We have an excellent record of success delivering commissioned training nationally and are proud to have achieved Education Team of the Year at the BMJ Awards 2018. We can produce bespoke courses tailored to your needs.
Implemental (previously known as Maudsley International) is an expert organisation that helps its clients develop and improve services and support for people who have mental health problems. This includes promoting good mental health and mental wellbeing. Implemental works with governments, providers of health services and employers in the public, private and voluntary sectors in many different countries.
The organisation was set up in 2007 by our Trust with King's College London's Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience.
The Maze book provides a practical guide to the Mental Health Act. It aims to help mental health practitioners, mental health act administrators, associate hospital managers, staff working in general acute hospital settings and professional staff at all levels in their understanding of the act.
It is also suitable for anyone who has a general interest, is studying mental health law, or is involved in social care, legal or police work.
