Award Categories
This year's Staff Awards are generously supported by the Maudsley Charity, which funds a wide range of projects across the trust. This year's award categories are:
Individual staff members
Kindness and Caring - For individuals who have demonstrated outstanding compassion and kindness in their work. This award is for an individual who shows outstanding compassion and kindness in their work. They have clearly demonstrated all the behaviours that are in the Trust’s Values and Behaviours Framework and demonstrate empathy and compassion in everything they do.
Leading and Inspiring - This award is not just for those in a management position. Anyone at any level can be a leader and make a difference to service delivery. This award recognises a role model with integrity who creates a positive impact in the development of those around them. This is through their leadership style and willingness to help people to be the best they can be.
The 'Unsung Hero' Award – this individual is for an individual who might not usually be recognised but has demonstrated acts of kindness towards those in need. This individual has gone above and beyond the definition of their role with no expectation of pay, praise, or recognition.
Individual of the Year - This award recognises a clinician, nurse, allied health professional, psychologists, volunteer or any health professional whose innovative approach to mental health has inspired service users and colleagues and created positive outcomes in the lives of people they care for.
Equality and Diversity Award - This award recognises an individual or team that has made significant contributions to tackle health inequalities for patients and communities or promoted race equality and inclusion in the workplace.
Chief Executive and Chair’s Award – Individual - This award is for the Chief Executive and Chair to recognise an exceptional individual who has made significant contributions towards one or more of our Trust Quality Priorities or Strategic Ambitions.

Valued Partners - For teams or organisations, as well as people who are not Trust staff employees - for example external organisations, carers groups, catering, domestic staff, volunteers, involved service users etc – who have collaborated to achieve the best outcomes for people who use our services.
Quality, Excellence and Learning - For teams who have successfully implemented research or new ideas to improve quality, safety or the way they work. This could have been a new Quality Initiative that has improved patient care, improved prevention, or an improvement made within the team to improve the overall delivery of service.
Clinical Team of the Year - For a clinical team who consistently deliver exceptional care to our patients or who have made significant improvements over the past year.
Corporate Team of the Year - For a corporate team who consistently deliver in delivering on the Trust’s strategic ambitions.
