Service users, carers and family members are invited to nominate a member of staff for South London and Maudsley’s Staff Awards 2023.

A team providing mental health support to street homeless people has explained how they support people during the cold winter months and how members of the public can help.

The Parental Mental Health team, who work with some of the most vulnerable families in Southwark, aim to provide Christmas presents for all the children of the families open to the team, including older siblings. 

Dr Ahmed Hankir, Psychiatrist at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded the Caroline Flack Mental Health Hero Award in the The Sun’s Who Cares Wins Awards for his outstanding commitment, care and willingness to share his own struggles with mental health. 

An NHS helpline is offering free and confidential employment advice to people across London struggling with the cost of living crisis.
