South London and Maudsley’s ambition to achieve environmental sustainability is being supported with the arrival of five new electric vans and two electric cars, in addition to the two electric vehicles already in the fleet.  

New appointments to the board have been welcomed at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. 

In February 2022, we launched our Creating Our Culture programme and since then, we have spoken to hundreds of staff, service users and carers to gather important data about what makes a good day and a bad day in our care. Everything that staff, service users and carers have said will soon go into creating South London and Maudsley’s first Values and Behaviours Framework.  

Dr Emmert Roberts, Honorary Specialist Registrar in Substance Misuse Psychiatry at South London and the Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and MRC Clinical Research Fellow in the National Addiction Centre, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) has been awarded a one-year Commonwealth Fund Harkness Fellowship in Health Policy and Practice based at Stanford University, California.

The building of a centre providing world-class research and better mental health services for children and young people in London and beyond reached a significant milestone today, with a celebratory ‘topping out’ ceremony attended by young people who helped design the building, local people and dignitaries.
