Experience of EMDR for previous birth trauma in pregnant people

Overview

Help us better understand the experience of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for past birth trauma from the perspective of individuals who are pregnant again.

What is the study about?

We want to understand your experience and impact of having received EMDR for past birth trauma whilst now being pregnant again in order to improve women and birthing people’s care and therapy.

Who can take part?

Women and birthing people who are:

  • At least 18 years-old
  • Experienced of birth trauma in the past
  • Are now pregnant again
  • Recently completed a course of EMDR therapy for previous birth trauma

What to expect

If you volunteer to take part, you will be invited to one interview about your experience of having received EMDR. The interview is estimated to last about 60-90minutes and can be face-to-face or online (Microsoft Teams). We value your time spent doing the interview by issuing a voucher of £10 as a thank-you.
