Communication and Engagement
We aim to ensure that our communications are reflective of the communities we serve. This includes using culturally appropriate language and imagery that speaks to the diverse backgrounds of our service users, and engaging Ethnically and Culturally Diverse (ECD) individuals in the development of our services.
Key Actions
Inclusive Representation: All Trust communications, including marketing materials and internal documents, will be updated to better represent the diversity of the people we serve, with a particular emphasis on Black communities.
Culturally Sensitive Language: We will review and revise our communication guidelines to ensure that the language used is inclusive, respectful, and culturally sensitive.
Community Involvement: We will actively involve Black and ECD individuals in the development of services and key decision-making processes, ensuring that their perspectives are integral to our work.
Transparency and Engagement: The Trust will provide regular updates on the progress of anti-racism initiatives, ensuring that the wider community is informed and involved.
